• Hired by an ad agency to handle the Perdue account, we were their chief designer/productionist for more than four years; producing everything from sales sheets, brochures, and posters...to labels, packaging, etc.

• Typography skills to solve layout fit problems, while making text “highly readable and aesthetically pleasing”.
• Photoshop skills to correct and adjust photos, outline plate shots, etc.
• Illustrator skills to create and modify various VECTOR icons and third-party logos throughout the menu.
• We tweaked an entire font family (using FontLab and Fontographer) so that when the printer poured in the variable data, the register mark was a “tasty, little one” (instead of the “horsy big one” that came with the font).
• Using our command of the English language, we gave IHOP feedback concerning text that was “unclear”...suggesting copy changes, and punctuation for clarity.
• IHOP was so thrilled with the turnarounds and attention to detail, that they’ve since given us other menu and marketing projects (nutritional menu, take out menu (variable data), fax menu (variable data), table tents, posters...EVEN FLASH ANIMATIONS.
• We were asked in to handle the BJ’s Restaurant account because they had outgrown their design resources.
• We converted all their Quark documents to InDesign (over 200 of them) and went through each one, cleaning them up and establishing a comprehensive style sheet system.
